Whether you were one of the earliest adopters of Hylofit or if you just picked up your own Hylofit during our most recent sale, we’re always providing new updates to make your experience the best it can be.
With the latest app update for Hylofit, we’re rolling out even more new features that our users will find beneficial in their everyday training program.
Here’s a breakdown of what’s new in the latest version of the Hylofit app, available now in the App Store or Google Play.
Speed Measurement in Meters Per Minute (MPM)
A popular request from the eventers in our midst, Hylofit will now calculate speed in meters per minute (mpm). Hylofit will still track speed in miles per hour (mph), which means you can select which metric is best for you in the Settings.
Did your horse spook at a bird during your ride? Did you finally nail that trot to canter transition? Have some trouble with a tough barrel pattern? Now, you can add Ride Markers to your ride so that you can make a note of anything you want to remember. This can come in handy when you go back and review your ride data from the month.
To add a marker to any ride, simply go into the Ride Summary and tap the ellipsis in the top right corner to bring up the menu. Select “View/Add Markers”, followed by the “+” in the top right corner of the Markers screen. Add as many markers and corresponding tags at precise moments during your ride.
Dual Heart Rate Ride Alerts
Our last Hylofit Hacks blog detailed how having more than one Heart Rate Ride Alert can be useful in training. With our latest update, this feature will allow riders to get a sense, in real-time, of heart rate recovery without having to pull their phone out.
Ride Alerts can also be used to set a time or distance limit. Similar to Nike Run Club, the Ride Alert will send a vibration or a voice alert when your set limit is reached. This comes in handy during conditioning or hacks.

You can now set specific rides as Favorites. This can come in handy in a variety of situations, but notably can be used to set benchmark or baseline rides (pro tip: do a Baseline ride at the start of every month to track your progress!).
You can also use Favorites in conjunction with Markers to keep track of any moments that matter. To see your Favorites, use to expand option to the right of "My Rides".
We’ve had several requests for our newest activities, so we added them. Select the activity you’d like to track for easier analysis down the road. The new activities are:
